Things to do..
Semi-grating to the country is a bit like emigrating but a whole lot easier. One gets to stay on this beautiful chunk of earth called SA but with added benefits. Smaller towns these days have a lot to offer, and Underberg in the Southern Drakensberg has more than most.
City life is hectic and everybody has plenty to deal with in all shapes and forms whether it be local, national or around the globe. Emotions are running high, social media fuels the hype fire, and fun and laughter seems to keep its distance. Getting back to basics; fresh air, family, friends, nature and nurture is the cure!
Semigrate to the country...
Come to Underberg in the Southern Drakensberg. Mountain air, friendly community, plenty of outdoor activities, and best of all, property prices that won’t break the bank.
Underberg kids are organically grown, they run barefoot, they get muddy, they swim the rivers and climb mountains. We don’t have access to lots of things. Things we thought were important (like shopping malls and fun fairs) pale into insignificance and our less now becomes our more. We have what we have and it’s perfectly good enough!
The point being that semi-grating may be just the ticket you’re looking for and we have the right people to put you on the right path to a new life.
We’re not talking travel agents here…. We’re talking Real Estate Agents.
Our agents have a combined 100 years specialized experience in the area and are well placed to guide and advise you on the nuances of country living: the pitfalls and the advantages of a life a little more adventurous, a little slower perhaps, a little more relaxing, a little more healthy……and a lot more fun!

Tips from Angela at Pam Golding Properties Look after your survey pegs.
As a homeowner, it is prudent to be aware of the precise boundaries of your property and the location of the survey pegs. One should not make the assumption that the fences are correctly positioned and when the time comes for resale a potential buyer may want to have the boundary lines and pegs properly located, with the obvious cost implications thereof should a re-survey be required. The surveyor general (SG) diagram of the property indicates the exact position of the pegs and provides a descrip-tion of the actual survey peg or beacon (eg, 3/4 inch iron peg under the cairn). Under no circumstances should these pegs be moved or removed, unless done so by a registered land surveyor, a cost to be borne by the landowner. Naturally, should one want to fence their property, be aware of the boundary location pegs and that they have not been disturbed in any way. It may also be wise to check on them on occasion, to ensure that the undergrowth has not hidden their spot.
